Lazy T Crochet...June's Featured EtsyBlogger!

I love to crochet...it was one of the 1st crafty things I learned to do. When I saw Lazy T's shop, I fell in love with it all over again.  There are so many variations, colors, styles and beautiful items - traditional items like scarves, mittens and gloves, hats, shawls, bags and purses are intermingled with cute, kitschy items like crocheted cup holders and funky wrist cuffs!

Tricia (Lazy T herself) also has a destash shop on Etsy called LazyStuff and a really fun blog - go check her out...she's having a great summer SALE!

Here are few of my favorites...

Donna Pool Designs

February's featured EtsyBlogger is fellow Maryland-er Donna Pool of Donna Pool Designs!  Visit her Etsy shop for custom & vintage buttons, photography, cool hand-sewn teddy bears, Christmas ornaments and much more.

In Donna's own words..."I used to love looking through old Life and Look magazines my parents and grandparents had saved and I've collected old photography magazines for years. I make my vintage buttons out of recycled images from those because they're like preserving tiny bits of history...a fascinating little peek into the past."

I love these cat buttons she created from photos of her own 2 kitties!

Featured EtsyBlogger for December....Spotted Cow Soaps!

Nestled deep in the heart of Vermont amongst the mountain views and dairy farms,  Spotted Cow Soaps has been formulating and selling homemade natural soaps for over 8 years. Ms. Moo not only offers great homemade soaps, her Etsy shop is filled to the brim with innovative and creative lotions, creams, sugar scrubs, and more!

Check out this Chocolate sugar scrub...it looks good enough to eat!

Other fun ideas in the shop include "bath cupcakes" - combining soap with a nylon scrubby in a cute shape,  "lovin your feet" loofah soaps - cute heart-shaped soaps with a slab of loofah embedded (perfect for smoothing those rough, tired footsies), and "bath fizzies" - yum...the description of these make me want to soak my body  in a hot bath!

But wait!  There's more!  Ms. Moo also offers a selection of crocheted bath items and gift baskets...perfect for seasonal gift giving!

Don't forget to check out her blog and find out the latest sales, and newest fragrances!

Featured Etsy Blogger for November...Storybeader!

Deborah Baroff, aka Storybeader, creates colorful beaded jewelry with a bit of Native American flair, frequently incorporating fetish beads and other traditional "tribal" stones such as turquoise, and as seen here in one of my favorite pieces of hers, magnesite.

Red magnesite

In her own words, Deb is a "frustrated writer who puts words and colors together to make wearable art..."  Each of her unique pieces comes with its own haiku!

Deb was the first person to welcome me to the Etsy Blogger's group when I joined, and the first to add me to an Etsy Treasury - Thanks Deb!!  Take a stroll through her etsy shop and visit her blog.

October Featured Etsy Blogger.....BFBeads!

Iusb_760x100

Baby Friendly Beads are beautifully functional nursing necklaces and bracelets. Breastfeeding jewelry gives baby something else to focus on and play with, instead of pulling mom's hair or pinching her skin. Reminder bracelets track nursing sessions.

What a cute, colorful idea!  I wish I had thought of this when I was nursing my boy years ago!  One of my favs is this reminder bracelet in shades of white...strung on sturdy memory wire - no clasp to break!

Check out Jen's 2nd shop, Mama's Magic Studio and her blog as well, for some more cute items.

There is a new baby in their household, so there may be a bit of a wait for items, but from what I have seen, they are well worth the wait!

For more info on these super-cuddly, sweet designs and pictures of cheek-pinchable models, check out their blog http://joeyandaleethea.typepad.com.  Their tagline is "We are all about family and fabric, love and laughter, and handmade super-coolness.  That's how we rock."   And they do!
