feeling better...bead soup and pipe dreams excitement!

Thank you all so very much for your kind words, thoughts and positive beams of light through the wires and universe!  My crud is still there, but lessening everyday and I do indeed feel loads better!  I ended up taking 2.5 days sick leave from my day job, although I did work from home during that time to meet some deadlines - yay, technology!

Now I am trying to catch up on a bit of blog reading and posting...hope to finish up a couple pieces I've started...my bead soup is all but finished and I am very excited at the prospect of showing it to you.  I don't have any sneak peeks, though, sorry ;)
This is also getting close!

I am signed up the Sunday Pipe Dreams session.  I would have loved to register for the whole shebang, but had to keep my feet on the ground this time.  I took Stephanie's Homesteading class this last go round and was able to watch the videos and read the posts, but never had the time to actually do the work, so am extra happy to be able to reinforce some of the things I learned by working with her in person.  I know of a few friends that will be there, Erin, Lori, and of course our beloved organizers Cindy and Jeanette!  For more information, go check out Artbliss Workshops.  I believe there might be a couple spots still open.

Any one else out there coming?  I hope so...let me know so I can look for you :)

  2. Hey Melissa...glad to hear you're on the mend! I can't wait to see your Bead Soup piece. Mine is still simmering and seems to have a mind of its own. It's nothing like I started out to create....
I hope that is a good thing.
I'm looking forward to Metal Magic as well! I'm taking the Saturday class but will stay overnight. I'll see you briefly then before I leave on Sun. to meet up with the family for Mass. We can compare notes afterwards. :-)

  6. Glad you are feeling better Melissa, no I won't be at this Artbliss. I will be helping my Mom after surgery. I am scheduled to go to Art and Soul Hampton in April, will you be there?

  8. awww... yuck.
You are still having the crud? Bugger. I am just this week coming out of the fog, but my voice still comes and goes. So no leading the singing at church... maybe until Easter ;-)

I didn't know you would be at Pipe Dreams!? That is going to be so cool! I look forward to meeting you there. I am also taking Saturday's class.

How is the soup going? I will put you on my list to swing back around (am sure this will take me a week to get through!).

    Enjoy the day!

  9. You were so lucky to get LeAnn. Her work is superb and her pieces are beautiful. But, my favorite thing about your piece is the herringbone wirework around the blue stone. I've just started working with wire and I'm trying to soak up all the inspiration I can. Thanks for adding to my list of techniques to master and great soup!
