Hope everyone has a safe, and happy 4th!
Have been busy doing fun family stuff, so haven't been around much. Went over the Pennsylvania line yesterday to get some cool fireworks for tonight, and since we were so close to Gettysburg, had a nice afternoon surrounding ourselves with history! There were people dressed in antebellum dresses and Civil War uniforms walking around all over town, and we had lunch outside while being serenaded by an authentic drum and fife group...they were awesome.
On the way home, we stopped off at the Grotto of Lourdes in Thurmont, MD...it is a beautiful re-creation of the actual Grotto in Lourdes, France. So peaceful..we walked all through the trails, had a drink from the mountain spring, then stopped and said a prayer in the lovely, stone Corpus Christi chapel.
Tonight, it is Maryland Blue Crabs and fireworks!
